RDC, Sambalpur, Sh Niranjan Sahu, IAS , visited Kalinga Eye Hospital on 24th December 2020

On December 24, 2021, Revenue Divisional Commissioner Sh Niranjan Sahu, IAS dedicated the extended waiting area and patient elevator at Kalinga Eye Hospital, Dhenkanal to the public. Addressing the gathering, Sh Sahu said that such initiatives would bolster the eye health sector in the state, as the hospital is equipped with modern facilities and will cater to the needs of patients seeking advanced care. There was a need for the private sector’s involvement in creating more healthcare infrastructure for the people, said Sh Sahu, adding that the government’s efforts in this direction needed to be complemented by such initiatives. Kalinga Eye Hospital is one of the largest in central Odisha, and offers comprehensive eye health services, including emergency care, advanced surgical procedures, diagnostic imaging, and outreach services for a broad range of medical conditions. Congratulating Director of Kalinga Eye Hospital for these new additions, Collector, Dhenkanal Sh Bhumesh Ch Sahoo, IAS hoped that it would extend excellent eye health facilities to the people of the district and the region. Chief District Medical & Public Health Officer Dr Sujata Rani Mishra thanked the hospital director for being supportive of the community eye care programmes in the district, and hoped that the new additions would cater to the needs of the poor.

“Kalinga Eye Hospital is not like any corporate hospital. Advanced eye health care will be available here at a reasonable price. We will offer next-generation treatment in patient-focused and technology-enhanced settings,” said Director of Kalinga Eye Hospital, Sh Sarangadhar Samal on the occasion.
